The federal government is set to force striking rail workers back to
work if the two sides can't come to an agreement by Monday, according
to a senior government official. Wages and the number of kilometres
engineers can drive each month are among the issues causing CN workers
to strike. The last work stoppage at CN was in 2007, when Parliament
ordered more than 2,700 conductors back to work.
