Commonwealth leaders will meet tomorrow in Trinidad where PM Harper will strongly oppose proposed anti-homosexual laws in Uganda. The proposed laws are suggesting life imprisonment for gays. Today in question period Transport Minister John Baird announced Harper will meet face-to-face with the Ugandan leader in an attempt to help stop the bill from passing. With Uganda being a member of the Commonwealth, their President is expected to attend the conference.
