Ignatieff names former astronaut new MP
Following the resignation of Denis Coderre, the previous Liberal MP of Quebec, Michael Ignatieff has declared former astronaut, Marc Garneau, as the party's new Quebec MP.
Garneau, the first Canadian in space, will be taking over after Coderre's recent struggle with Ignatieff. There is pressure on Garneau to reinstate strong Liberal support in the province, as it has recently been declining.
