Federal government spends five times more on touting economic plan than H1N1 prevention

The Conservative government is spending most of its time and energy focusing on raising awareness for the economic action plan rather than the H1N1 flu pandemic that is still ongoing across Canada. About $34 million have been spent to promote the government's recession action plan rather than on messages about the H1N1 virus. Opposition MPs have complained that the government is using the money to promote its plan rather than raise awareness of the possible flu pandemic.
