Martin Cauchon was a very prominent member of the Liberal party, in some cases people might think of him as controversial because he actually helped progress the same sex marriage movement as well as try to decriminalize marijuana. He was man behind the scenes trying to convince Prime Minister Jean Chretien to legalize sam sex marriage. However prominent Cauchon was, he just lost his bid to re-enter politics. The Liberal party has decided to change their tactic and bring on businesswoman, Nathalie Le Prohon who is described as "the president of Nokia Canada and has been a senior executive at IBM and Hydro-Quebec".
